New Zealand is world famous
for their friendly people, sheep, modern standard of living,
sheep, rugby team (the All Blacks), sheep and outdoor
lifestyle (and sheep). It is relatively easy to get around
the country through public transport, with coach services
being much more prevalent that trains. A number of tour
operators offer hop-on, hop-off bus tours (the main one
being NZ Experience). Another great way to explore the
country is by hiring a campervan, and choosing your own
route to explore this great country. People tend to drive
on the same roads as people in Britain, although with
the limited traffic in New Zealand, you can pretty much
choose what side of the road you drive on.
The self-proclaimed adventure capital of the world, New Zealand really does have everything for the thrill-seeker. The centre for adrenaline sports is Queenstown in the south island with everything from sky diving to canyon swings, white water rafting to bungee jumping.
