The number of Greek islands
is almost matched by its diverse influences over the last
four thousand years. A country rich in mythical legends
that live on today provides more than your fair share
of culture as well as beautiful islands to relax on, although
more and more of them are becoming over-developed tourist
spots.
Greece’s history is too vast to tell here, except
to say the capital, Athens, was named after the Greek
god of War, Athena.
All in all, a great place to spend a couple of summer
months island hopping. Sailing around the islands
is cheaper than you’d think and is a great
way to see the islands and find the deserted coves
and beaches.
