| Estonia gained it’s
independence from Russia in 1991 after a prolonged campaign
including what has come to be known as the Singing Revolution
and the human chain where over 2 million people linked
arms reaching all the way to Lithuania.
The capital Tallinn has some fine examples for 14th
and 15th century architecture with winding cobbled streets
and medieval features.
The first week of July is a good time to visit as the
great beer festival – Õllesummer
– has a lot for all ages to see and do.
