Situated below Turkey and
to the west of Syria in the Mediterranean sea, Cyprus
is a ‘country of two halves’ – the northern
Turkish Republic and the southern Republic of Cyprus.
Most tourism is in the south, but it is possible to cross
the border to see the Turkish part for a few hours, provided
you return south by the specified time.
Plenty of sandy beaches to explore, good nightlife
and tourist attractions make this island a good
place to visit.
And for tennis fans - go Baghdatis!
