Nestled by the Adriatic coast
and bordered by Slovenia, Hungary, Yugoslavia, and Bosnia
Herzegovina, the Croatian region was a booming tourist
hot-spot in the early 1990s until war ripped through the
area. The war has long since been over and Croatia has
rapidly rebuilt its tourist attractions. Such attractions
include seven brilliant national parks, plentiful (if
not sandy) beaches, and islands peppered along the coastline.
