Still in a state of disrepair
since the Civil war in the 1990s, the best way to describe
Bosnia Herzegovina is “under construction”
– the building of Mostar’s historic bridge
was completed in July 2004, but sadly the country’s
road and rail network are still badly crippled, and only
Sarajevo airport carries international flights –
which are sporadic at best.
However if you can get there, it won’t take you
long to realise there is plenty to do: hiking,
trekking, climbing, mountain biking, and paragliding
to name a few.
