By using the Scarytan website ("the Website"), www.scarytan.com, you are accepting the following terms and conditions ("T&Cs").
The Service
The Website is owned and operated by Scarytan Limited, a private limited company based in the United Kingdom. The service is offered through the Website and selected distribution partners.
Member Obligations
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity and content that occurs through your account.
- You agree to notify the Company of any unauthorised use of your account.
- You agree not to use the website to store, transmit or link to material which is discriminatory, defamatory, an incitement to acts of violence or terrorism, pornographic or deemed objectionable by us in any way.
- You must not violate any local or international laws through the use of the Website.
- You agree to act in a manner of mutual respect toward your fellow members and will not abuse, intimidate or libel fellow members.
Contravention of any of the above obligations will result in termination and deletion of your account without further notice. While we expect all members to abide by these obligations, you agree that the Company is not responsible for member content and browsing the website is done at your own risk.
General Terms
- We reserve the right to change these T&Cs at any time. We will notify you of these changes via email to your registered email address if we deem necessary.
- We reserve the right to deny membership to anyone without providing a reason.
- We will remove membership content and terminate membership where the member has contravened our member obligations. We are not obliged to actively monitor member content, however if we become aware of a contravention we will take action. Members and non-members can report contraventions by email to teacherspet@scarytan.com.
- The Website is for travellers wishing to share their experiences of travelling with text, photos, audio and video. If it is used for hosting files for external websites, we reserve the right to terminate membership.
- If a member is suspected of illegal activity when using the Website, we will report the member to the relevant authorities and cooperate fully in their investigations.
Copyright
- With the exception of member content, all content on the Website is protected by international copyright laws and may not be reproduced without the express permission of Scarytan.
- Content uploaded by a member remains the property of that member. Scarytan makes no claim on this content. However, by setting your content as "public", you allow the Website to store and display your content, and other members to view and share your content.
- Scarytan respects the intellectual property of others and as such will deal with any claims of copyright infringement. If you have a claim, please email itsmine@scarytan.com with the following information: -
- An electronic or physical signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
- Information to help Scarytan to locate the material.
- Your contact details, including your address, telephone number and email address
- A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner.
- A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Limitation of Liability
While Scarytan takes every precaution to ensure uninterrupted service and data integrity, it will not be held liable for any loss of service, or permanent or temporary loss of member content.
While we make every effort to ensure our content is accurate and up to date, Scarytan accepts no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of information. Scarytan will not be held liable for any loss or damage as a result of use of this information.
